The Student Affairs Department at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) is dedicated to enhancing the student experience by providing a comprehensive range of services and support. Mission and Vision

Key Services
Accommodation
IIT Gandhinagar offers 12 centrally air-conditioned and furnished hostels with a capacity of over 2600 students. Each hostel is equipped with modern amenities including 24x7 WiFi, LAN connections, single and double seater rooms, common rooms, laundry services, and more. The hostels are managed by a student-led maintenance committee, encouraging a sense of ownership among residents.
Student Well-Being
The Student Well-Being Initiative is driven by a dedicated team of faculty members who offer assistance with a broad range of concerns from academic to personal, emotional, and financial well-being. The initiative aims to connect students with the right advisors to resolve various problems and also welcomes discussions on challenging projects and causes revolving around overall well-being.
Counseling Services
The Counseling Services team at IITGN oversees the emotional and psycho-social well-being of the entire campus community, including students, staff, and faculty. Services include crisis resolution, career counseling, group therapy, gender sensitivity training, and workshops pertinent to emotional and social well-being.
Medical Services
The institute provides extensive medical facilities, including an on-campus medical center and 24/7 emergency contact services. The medical center is equipped to handle a variety of health concerns and emergencies.
Scholarships and Financial Aid
IIT Gandhinagar offers a liberal financial aid program to ensure that financial constraints do not hinder a student's academic pursuits. Explorer Fellowship
